Over the past 3 years,
STOC has held a series of Supply Chain Seminars.
These seminars were presented by local and regional
experts in Supply Chain Management and located at
various community sites to broaden depth of content
and expose area leaders to some of our areas top
resources, including The Raymond Corporation and
Binghamton University. In February of 2006 the third
seminar was hosted by the Watson School of
Engineering and Applied Sciences at Binghamton
University. Topics ranged from Procurement Model to
RFID Development, below are the presentations made
at the seminar by STOC Members representing various
local businesses and the University.

A STOC analysis suggests there are hundreds of millions of
dollars spent by
just six (6) top local companies outside Greater Binghamton
every year.
These local companies have a preference to "buy locally"
whenever they can
and STOC provides the network to make those connections.
STOC believes there may be as much as a BILLION dollars of
annual purchases
made outside the area each year - a HUGE opportunity for our
local
suppliers.
As a Small Business do you know how to get in front of the
Large Businesses
in the Southern Tier to tap into the requirements that go
outside of the
area?
Do you know their names?
Do they know about you?
Do you know what they require?
Do you know how to be a part of a successful supply chain?
Investing in a membership in STOC is the easiest, most
effective way to gain
access to this tremendous Supply Chain Opportunity.
