Since 1946, Broome Community College has provided career preparation and transfer education opportunities for the residents of the Southern Tier of New York. Through our degree programs, certificate programs, and non-credit offerings, BCC has earned its reputation as "the community's college."
BCC is part of the State University of New York, the largest public university system in the United States. Over 6000 students are currently enrolled.
The campus is located in a beautiful setting, surrounded by trees and rolling hills. Our diverse student population represents a variety of age groups, cultures, and work experiences. BCC has something to offer everyone. From engineering, allied health programs, and continuing education, to kids camps and family skating. The campus, comprised of 15 buildings, houses modern classrooms, laboratories, and computer facilities. We also have food court restaurants, a student cyber-café, two gymnasiums, a fully updated fitness lab and weight room, a full-scale Ice Center, superior athletic fields, and a student theater.
We strive to provide outstanding educational opportunities delivered by professional faculty using state-of-the-art equipment, and our thoughtful support staff is dedicated to providing expert services to aid our students in achieving their educational goals. Many of our graduating students transfer to four-year colleges and universities, while others complete programs designed to train and retrain employees for the job market. Graduates from our institution have transferred and successfully proven their abilities in some of the finest universities and colleges in the United States . Successful graduates have gone on to hold important positions in major corporations throughout the country.
