Stacey Vanderlip

Stacey Vanderlip is the Corporate Events Director at American Heart Association. Always one to apply herself, Stacey Vanderlip graduated from high school at 16 and, in three years time, earned bachelor’s degrees in finance and international business from the University at Buffalo. In the process, she also became proficient in Spanish, Japanese and sign language and worked at People, Inc. helping individuals with developmental disabilities learn to live independently. Looking to continue sharing her talents while helping the community, Vanderlip volunteered for the Serving the Underserved Committee while employed at Visions Federal Credit Union, developing products that target the less fortunate. Her mother’s death from cancer led Vanderlip to the non-profit world and she currently works with volunteers to execute two major annual fundraisers for the American Heart Association to raise funds for cardiac disease and stroke-related research. Those who know her say “her zealousness and tenacity for the work she does is unmatched by anyone” they have met, and she “believes in giving back to her community. She exemplifies the true meaning of leadership. She has set
high standards, goals and expectations for herself and the community...”
