James Morris
James Morris is the
Executive Director in Susquehanna Regional Emergency Medical
Services Council, Inc.
Earning a bachelor’s degree in forestry from the University of Maine could not have
been easy for James Morris – of the 140 entering freshmen in his class, only 10
graduated four years later. While a student, he also earned his Fire Fighter One and
Two and his National Registry EMT-Basic license, even as he worked as a University
Fire Marshal, a stage technician and a University Ambulance Service volunteer.
A member of the Endwell Rotary Club and the Port Dickinson Zoning Board, Morris
is a past District Executive for the Baden Powell Council of Boy Scouts of America.
An Eagle Scout, he remains active as an assistant scoutmaster. He also serves
as an election inspector for Broome County and as adviser to the Binghamton
University chapter of Alpha Phi Omega, a co-ed service organization.
His professionalism is called “second to none” by colleagues, who say he is someone
who can think fast on his feet and move decisively when things need to be done. “He
leads and inspires through his passionate outlook and a vision of what is possible.” |
